Stolen Lunches began with eight women and an hour. It became a nonprofit. Then a movement.
In August 2014, a group of eight women gathered during their lunch break to be fed by something greater than the work week. No program. No budget. No plan. Just a table, a Bible, and a yes to God.
That yes became Stolen Lunches — a name that captured exactly what was happening. People were stealing time from their busy days to receive something they couldn't get anywhere else.
Twelve years later, Stolen Lunches Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with five active groups, over 300 neighbors served every month, and an annual outreach event that draws 2,000+ people from across Charlotte and beyond.
The mission has never changed: to give people who feel too busy no excuse not to be fed by God.
"We create a space where real people have real conversations about God. Where someone can say 'I'm struggling' — and the person next to them says 'me too. Let me walk with you.'"
No pressure. No performance. No prerequisite. Just a table and a door that's always open. Come as you are. Take what you need. Come back when you're ready to give.
Fly Ty Jacobs has spent over three decades in the media and entertainment space — as a radio personality, NBA arena host, and community voice. But the thing he's most proud of is the thing that started on a Tuesday morning over a Bible and a borrowed conference room.
Fly Ty brings energy, authenticity, and a rare ability to make anyone feel welcome. He leads Man Talk, hosts and emcees GBB Day, and is the living proof that the busiest people in the room have the most to give — when they stop long enough to receive.
Jacinda Jacobs is an Amazon #1 bestselling author, speaker, and strategist whose book Uniquely Qualified has reached readers across the country. She co-founded Stolen Lunches with a simple conviction: that God meets people in the middle of their regular days — not just on Sundays.
Jacinda oversees the Women's Bible Study, manages the organization's operations and partnerships, and brings the vision and discipline that has turned a lunch break gathering into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving hundreds of families every month.
Stolen Lunches Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, NC. Donations of $250 or more are fully tax-deductible. Tax letters are issued each January.
