What are Cool Kids?

Four young boys, Xavier and Tyler Edmond and Jalen and Elijah Proctor, noticed a need for young kids to have a space to talk about God and fellowship just like their parents do in their Cool Couples group. So, they decided to start Cool Kids.

Cool Kids is a safe space for kids 8-15 to talk about God’s presence in their lives, fellowship with like minded kids and do some outreach opportunities. Cool Kids will be run by the 4 young boys, but will be overseen by adults Shannon Edmond and Vernell Proctor.

When do Cool Kids Meet?

Cool Kids will meet via zoom the last Sunday of every month from 4:00-5:30pm for a mini Bible lesson and an open forum to talk about what is on their hearts from relationships, school, and home life. This group is to encourage and empower each other to be the best of who God made them to be.In person fellowship will happen throughout the year. Details of these events will be provided as they are planned.

How do I Join Cool Kids?

To join please email CoolKidsCLT@gmail.com. We will add your kids + contact information to our roster, send zoom details + keep you updated with future planned events.

WEEKLY INSPIRATION: You will begin to receive a Weekly Devotion on Mondays at 8am for encouragement to your email. Included below each devotion is detailed information about upcoming Virtual Faith Conversations, Prayer Calls & Retreats.

JOIN US FOR 6AM PRAYER CALLS MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS: Simply call the prayer line 267-807-9601 put in the access code 252-054-715. A ministry leader will begin with a short devotion at 6am sharp and will then take prayer requests and/or praise reports and close out in prayer, together. It’s a beautiful way to start your day~ join us!

You can also submit prayer requests 24/7 at stolenlunches.org/pray. A team of Prayer Warriors begin praying over every prayer request immediately.

Our Couples Bible Study meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

WHY IS IT BENEFICIAL TO JOIN THE GROUPME COMMUNITY? If there are last minute changes or updates, Bible Study leaders will send information to the groupme community first. In addition, we post calendar events and zoom links for easy access.

Our Groupme consists of powerful “faith communities”. We hold ongoing “daily” conversations about our faith, share encouraging scriptures with one another and give support. We can’t wait to walk alongside you in this faith journey.

Our Couple’s Ministry started many years ago with the goal to keep God at the center of every relationship and to build a supportive community where couples can do life together.

Our children asked, “Why can’t we have our own meetups too?” Cool Kids was birthed in 2022 with the mission to connect with other kids who love God and want to grow, talk, and support one another in this faith journey.
